Nepal Needs Our Help After 7.9 Magnitude Earthquake - Links to Help

The 7.9 magnitude earthquake that recently devastated Nepal has claimed at least 4,000 lives as I write this appeal. I hiked to Mount Everest Base Camp in September 2008 so I have a great affinity for the people there. Some friends have posted various ways to help and I wanted to share those links with you.

(1) Recommended by Gerri Unrien Kier and Stephen Forte.

Shelter Box USA.

Education Elevated.

Education Elevated Presents a Benefit Garden Concert with The John Byrne Band. There was a previously scheduled fundraiser on Saturday, June 13, in Lafayette, Colorado. It will benefit the hard hit Chyangba Village in Nepal.  Come on out and enjoy an amazing sunset, garden concert with these gifted musicians.

Equal parts Celtic and American Folk, Dublin-born singer/songwriter/guitarist John Byrne is one of the few musical artists today who manage to be traditional and modern at the same time. The John Byrne Band has built a large and loyal regional following from New York to Delaware and throughout the Northeast, with critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.
